The general responsibilities of the Board of Commissioners are to
conduct business for the County of Wayne, Nebraska; to address the concerns
of the residents of Wayne County; to assess and reconstruct Wayne County
roads and bridges; to seasonally maintain and repair County roadways; and
to give responsible budgetary support and oversight to the County Offices
of Assessor, Clerk, Judiciary,
Sheriff, and Treasurer, as well as the County services provided by the
Extension Office, Highway Superintendent, Surveyor, Veteran's Office and
Weed Control.
